Board of Directors
Meet our Board of Directors
PRESIDENT
Donna Golden, NP, CWON, CFCS
Donna has been a registered nurse since 1977 and has dedicated the majority of her
career to wound, ostomy, and continence nursing across diverse care settings. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing in 1988 with a focus on rehabilitation and wound healing and became an Adult Nurse Practitioner in 2003, initially practicing in primary care. In 2010, Donna opened and managed a wound and hyperbaric medicine center, where she identified a critical gap in foot care particularly among older adults. She routinely encountered untreated ulcers, undiagnosed neuropathy, and neglected nail care resulting from limited access and mobility. Addressing these unmet needs led her to foot care nursing. After being introduced to the American Foot Care Nurses Association (AFCNA) and Dr. Julia Overstreet’s program, Donna earned her Certified Foot Care Specialist (CFCS) credential and founded Mobile Medical Foot Care in 2022. She transitioned fully from hospital practice in 2025 and is now actively engaged in both her practice and the ongoing reorganization and advancement of the AFCNA.
