Full membership is available to licensed nurses (RN, LPN, LVN, NP, DNP) practicing in the United States and its territories who support AFCNA’s mission and goals. Full members have voting rights, can make motions, and are eligible to serve on committees and task forces. Only RNs in good standing may serve on the Board of Directors.
Membership Terms
By purchasing/renewing an American Foot Care Nurses Association (AFCNA) annual membership via credit card or check, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Membership Terms and No Refund Policy.
1. Membership Fees: All membership fees paid to AFCNA are non-refundable. Members will receive email notifications that their membership is about to expire and to update their payment information if required. Thirty (30) days and fifteen (15) days prior to the renewal date, all members (regardless of payment method) will receive an email notifying them their membership will soon expire. Two (2) days prior to the day of renewal, the member will be notified their membership is about to expire and to update their payment information if required.
2. Auto-Renewal: If auto-renewal is selected, each year on your anniversary date of the renewal date, the member’s credit card will automatically be charged.
3. Non-Refundable Fees: Membership fees are final and will not be refunded under any circumstances.
4. Membership Benefits: Your membership grants access to various resources and benefits. However, once your membership expires, you will no longer have access.
5. Membership Term: Membership is valid for one year from your enrollment date and expires on the anniversary of that date the following year.
6. Check Payment Processing: Members who choose to pay by check should make checks payable to American Foot Care Nurses Association Corporation. Upon receipt and clearance of your check payment, your membership benefits will be activated within 10–14 business days. AFCNA is not responsible for checks lost or delayed in transit.
7. Check Payment & Membership Activation: Membership benefits will not be activated until check payment has been received and successfully cleared. Your membership anniversary/renewal date will be calculated from the date your account was created.
8. Returned/Failed Check Payments: In the event a check is returned or fails to clear, your membership will not be activated until a valid payment is received. A returned check fee of $25 will apply.
9. Check Payment & Auto-Renewal: Auto-renewal is not available for members who select check as their payment method. Members paying by check will receive the standard renewal reminder notifications and are responsible for submitting payment prior to their membership expiration date to avoid a lapse in benefits.
