Enrollment Verification Requirements:
- A current enrollment letter from your institution
- Contact information (name, email and phone number) for your program coordinator for verification purposes
What Student Members Receive:
- Access to AFCNA member resources and foot care nursing journals
- Access to the AFCNA member directory
- Mentorship opportunities within the AFCNA community
- Eligibility to participate in AFCNA regional chapters
What Student Membership Does Not Include:
- Voting rights in AFCNA elections or business matters
- Eligibility to hold board or leadership positions
Transition Requirement:
Upon graduation or completion of your program, student members must transition to Full Membership to maintain active status and access full member benefits.
Membership Terms
1. Eligibility: Student membership is open to individuals currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program or a foot care training course. **Student membership is available annually for as long as the member maintains active enrollment. AFCNA reserves the right to request proof of current enrollment at any time. Misrepresentation of student status may result in immediate membership termination without refund.
2. Student Membership Fee & Non-Refundable Policy: The annual student membership fee is $35.00. All membership fees paid to AFCNA are non-refundable and will not be refunded under any circumstances.
3. Membership Benefits: Your membership grants access to various resources and benefits. Once your membership expires, you will no longer have access to member benefits.
4. Membership Term & Renewal: Student membership renews annually on the anniversary of your enrollment date, provided active student status is maintained. Members will receive email notifications 30 days, 15 days, and 2 days prior to their membership expiration date. Members are responsible for renewing their membership annually to avoid a lapse in benefits.
5. Auto-Renewal: If auto-renewal is selected, each year on your anniversary date, the member’s credit card will automatically be charged.
6. Transition to Full Membership: Upon graduation or completion of training, members must transition to Full Membership to maintain active status.
7. Check Payment Processing & Activation: Members who choose to pay by check should make checks payable to American Foot Care Nurses Association Corporation and mail to 552 Webster Street, Suite 1, Rockland, MA 02370. Membership benefits will not be activated until check payment has been received and successfully cleared, which typically takes 10–14 business days. Your membership anniversary/renewal date will be calculated from the date your account was created. AFCNA is not responsible for checks lost or delayed in transit.
8. Returned/Failed Check Payments: In the event a check is returned or fails to clear, your membership will not be activated until a valid payment is received. A returned check fee of $25.00 will apply.
9. Check Payment & Auto-Renewal: Auto-renewal is not available for members who select check as their payment method. Members paying by check will receive the standard renewal reminder notifications and are responsible for submitting payment prior to their membership expiration date to avoid a lapse in benefits.
